We have been having a wonderful time lately cleaning the beautiful artefacts of the Christopher Dresser Collection at the Dorman Museum. Not only is this very close to our hearts (with the Linthorpe Pottery being on our doorstep) but we were also able to get the first lookat (and handle!) some of these beautiful items before they are unveiled to the public. What a true privilege!
This endeavour has also given us a little publicity! We have appeared in the
Evening Gazette newspaper and on the
Look North news programme too - if you slide the bar to 11.20 minutes you will find our report: even though they do refer to us as Middlesbrough WI! <sigh>
However, it is still some much-appreciated publicity for the Linthorpe Pottery and for the WI!
