We started the evening off with the meeting to bring everyone up-to-date on what's happening in the local area and further afield. We discussed the forthcoming Autumn Show and Alison gave us a wonderful account of her exciting adventures to the WI Centenary Garden party where she saw Camilla & Sophie (standing on a chair from the other side of the marquee - that's Alison, not Camilla!).
Then it was on with the Birthday Party - complete with Birthday (cup)cakes!! How AMAZING are these in lieu of a big birthday cake??
We also had extra cupcakes so that everyone could have one to take home (I've got my eye on the ones with HUGE cherries on at the top of the table!)
It was then time for chatter, tea, buffet, cake and quizzes! A perfect party and a lovely group of ladies!
Happy Birthday to us!
