As we do every year, we collected our shoeboxes full of goodies to go to the Apostle Ship of the Sea (Mission to seafarers) in the ongoing hope that everyone will have a present to open for Christmas. These were collected by Tony & John and we couldn't resist the opportunity for a photo shoot!
After the business part of the meeting, the committee members then treated us to an impromptu (and very much abridged) performance of "Snow White", with hilarious consequences....
Then it was time to party! We had a delicious buffet, secret santa, Christmas quiz, crackers (and I'm not just talking about the committee members!), lashings of cups of tea and, as ever, exceedingly good company.
As 2014 draws to a close we can look back on a very successful year for Linthorpe WI. We had a fabulous summer trip to Saltaire, we came second in the annual darts competition, we've had some fabulous speakers, one of our members was a WI Life cover girl and we have many new members - we are thriving!
