Afternoon Tea/Baton Exchange: 09.04.14

Today we handed the WI Centenary Baton over to the Yorkshire North East Federation as it wends it's way around the country.  Full details of it's past, present and future journey can be found here and here.  The photographs that it collects as it visits each Federation can be viewed here.

As part of the celebrations we had a scrumptious Afternoon Tea and were entertained by Lucy from The History Wardrobe, who was dressed in the elite fashion of the 30s and had brought other AUTHENTIC 1930s clothes so that we could  see what we could have been wearing for Afternoon Tea around 80 years ago (providing we had the money to afford them and the svelte figures to squeeze into them!)

Farewell brave baton!  Safe journey! <wave>
